Horus Statue
Often viewed as the patron god of Egypt, Horus is widely recognized as one of the eldest and most revered of the Egyptian gods. Indeed, in the days of Ancient Egypt the Pharaoh was believed to be Horus in life much as he was believed to be Osiris in death, with each new Pharaoh merely being a new incarnation of Horus; a concept that had overtaken the earlier belief that the Pharaoh was the son of Ra. As the conqueror of Seth, the god of war and hunting, and the protector of Egypt, his symbol, the Eye of Horus, became a symbol of protection and power, helping to ward off evil.
Taking the form of the traditional image of Horus, this statue celebrates the patron deity as he was known to the Ancient Egyptians. With the head of a falcon crowned in ruler-ship of all of Egypt, he is posed as one might see him portrayed in ancient hieroglyphs: one foot slightly forward with his forward hand holding the carrying the traditional staff and his relaxed arm carrying the ankh. The whole piece stands approximately 12" tall, 2 3/4" wide, and 4" deep and has been painted in rich tones of gold and black.

GUARDIAN Horus Statue
One of the most important Gods of the deities of the ancient Egyptians as well as one of the historically oldest, Horus is the Falcon-headed god of the land of the pyramids. He was revered as the God of the sky, and as such it was said that the moon was his left eye and the sun his right. He is also the Egyptian god of hunting, and war, who warred at length with Set at the instruction of his mother, Isis, who set him to protect Egypt from the lord of the deserts.
Here he is shown as a barrel-chested man with jet-black skin, and the head and face of a Falcon. Upon his head sits a royal Egyptian head dress, as the Pharaoh or king was often identified as having been Horus reborn. Fearsome and sturdy, he is portrayed as the protector, wielding a pole-arm within his muscled hands. Place him upon your altar or home in reverence and worship, and seek his aid in protecting you and the ones you love.
This statue stands approximately 12" tall and 10" wide at its widest point, and is sculpted beautifully of cold cast resin.

Warrior Seth Statue
Description
Seth (also found spelled as Set) is the ancient Egyptian god of the desert, storms, darkness and Chaos. Indeed, in ancient Egyptian culture his very name meant to be an instigator of confusion, a deserter, or a drunkard. He was known for his conflict with Osiris, whom he attacked out of jealousy and envy, dismembering Osiris and throwing his pieces into the Nile. This conflict also brought about his contention with Horus, who was the son of Osiris and Isis.
Here he is portrayed with jet-black skin, as are many of the deities of ancient Egypt, with the body of a man and the head of a beast. Known often simply as the "Set animal," the beast is a blend of the donkey, a jackal, and an aardvark. His golden attire lends to the impression that he is girded for war, while the sickle and crook in his hands leave little doubt that he is intended to sew strife.
Standing 10" tall, this statue is sculpted of cold cast resin and is perfectly suited for any altar of worship.

Egyptian Book of the Dead by E A Budge
The Egyptian Book of the Dead is unquestionably one of the most influential books in all history. Embodying a ritual to be performed for the dead, with detailed instructions for the behavior of the disembodied spirit in the Land of the Gods, it served as the most important repository of religious authority for some three thousand years. Chapters were carved on the pyramids of the ancient 5th Dynasty, texts were written in papyrus, and selections were painted on mummy cases well into the Christian Era. In a certain sense it stood behind all Egyptian civilization.
In the year1888 Dr. E. Wallis budge, then purchasing agent for the British Museum, followed rumors he heard of a spectacular archeological find in Upper Egypt, and found in an 18th Dynasty tomb near Luxor "the largest roll of papyrus I had ever seen, tied with a thick band of papyrus , and in a perfect state of preservation." It was a copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, written around 1500 B.C. for Ani, Royal Scribe of Thebes, Overseer of the Granaries of the Lords of Abydos, and Scribe of the Offerings of the Lords of Thebes.
This Papyrus of Ani, a full version of the Theban recension, is presented here by Dr. Budge, who later became perhaps the world's most renowned Egyptologist. Reproduced in full are a clear copy of the Egyptian hieroglyphs, an interlinear transliteration of their sounds (as reconstructed), a word-for-word translation, and separately a complete smooth translation. All this is preceded by an introduction of more than 150 pages. As a result of this multiple apparatus the reader has a unique opportunity to savor all aspects of the Book of the Dead, or as it was otherwise known, The Book of Great Awakening.
Dozens of magic formulas are given in full, both in the original Egyptian sounds, as far as they can be recreated, and in English; dozens of excerpts are also given from the magical papyroi, tomb inscriptions, and other sources. Many wonderful tales are told in these Egyptian stories; mind control, enforcing will upon animals, suspended animation, calling up the dead, finding ancient books of incredible magical power, and other miraculous events that we may or may not believe.
